INIFD Pune is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Skill Development (MSBSD). It provides certification for various programs in fashion and interior design.
The admissions to these courses are limited to the total intake authorised by (MSBVE) Maharashtra Board of Vocational Examination. Details are as under

MSBVE was bifurcated into the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training from the Directorate of Technical Education in 1984. Since 1986, the Board of Technical Examination of the State, supervises examinations of various technical diploma and professional certification courses offered by MSBVE.
The course curriculum is designed to impart students with industry-competent skills to begin, excel and grow in their career. MSBVE directs the final examination for skill assessment. Further, it awards a certificate of completion to successful candidates.
INIFD centres in Maharashtra are affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Skill Development (MSBSD) through 21st Century Training Institute Private Limited. All Certificates and Diploma’s in Fashion / Interior Design courses listed above are Government of Maharashtra-approved.
Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim is a Private Skills University. It was established with the passage of the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act, 2021 in the Sikkim State Legislative Assembly on 24th June, 2021. The university’s legal entity is Medhavi Foundation, led by a group of IIT alums who intend to empower the country’s youth, who are deprived of access to quality education owing to financial constraints. INIFD’s association with Medhavi features various B.Voc, B.Des, M.Voc and M.Des programmes in interior and fashion design. In these courses, Medhavi takes care of the theoretical part, while INIFD is responsible for conducting practical sessions.
